En los últimos años se ha detectado un aumento en los niños diagnosticados con Trastornos Generalizados del Desarrollo (TGD) y Daño Cerebral (DC). Al mismo tiempo la formación e información por parte de los profesionales que intervienen con estos niños también es mayor por lo que el Departamento de Salud de Manises creó en mayo del 2012 la primera Unidad de Neurorrehabilitación Infantil integrada en un hospital público valenciano especializada en estos casos. La Unidad está atendida por un equipo de profesionales especializados en TGD y DC, tanto en el diagnóstico como en la intervención y con una filosofía de trabajo interdisciplinar. W artykule poruszono kwestie dotyczące stosowania przemocy wobec osób starszych. Zjawisko to staje się jednym z głównych problemów społecznych, z którymi muszą zmierzyć się m.in. pracownicy socjalni oraz specjaliści z zakresu pedagogiki (w tym gerontopedagogiki), socjologii, a także przedstawiciele służb pomocowych. Jak wynika z analizy danych statystycznych oraz wyników badań naukowych, skala stosowania przemocy stale się pogłębia. W opracowaniu zaprezentowano przegląd badań dotyczących skali i determinantów stosowania przemocy wobec seniorów oraz koncepcje wycofania moralnego jako jednego z czynników wywołujących zachowania przemocowe.
Genesis of professionalization of Polish social services

The article continues the discussion about the identity and history of the Polish social services. In particular, it addresses the genesis and beginnings of the formation of the educational system of social workers. The memory about the beginnings is an indispensable element of thinking about the future in the present. Coming up with solutions for the future without respect for the achievements of the past creates a risk of committing errors of the past generations. W czasach nieustannie zmieniającej się współczesnej rzeczywistości społeczno-gospodarczej wiele osób boryka się z różnorodnymi problemami życiowymi, a w szczególnie trudnej sytuacji znajdują się osoby z niepełnosprawnością oraz ich rodziny. W artykule ukazane zostały zarówno problemy życiowe osób z niepełnosprawnością i ich rodzin, jak też szczegółowo omówione kompetencje pracownika socjalnego w zakresie pomocy i wsparcia w przezwyciężaniu tych problemów i podwyższaniu poziomu jakości życia osób niepełnosprawnych.

This study examines how disability service workers identify the discourses of the client-worker relationships. We studied the clientworker relationship from the perspective of the relational dialectics theory with a focus on relational contradictions and the meanings created within discursive struggles. The ageing of society is a significant social and economic challenge in the 21st century Europe. The article analyses loneliness and social isolation among seniors in long-term care (LTC) institutions, as well as how COVID-19 restrictions influence their social isolation. Pētījuma tēma ir par resursiem sociālajā darbā ar vardarbībā cietušajiem bērniem ģimenē koronavīrusa pandēmijas laikā. Pētījuma mērķis ir pētīt pieejamos resursus sociālajā darbā ar vardarbībā cietušiem bērniem ģimenēs koronavīrusa pandēmijas laikā. Pētījumā izmantota kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode, daļēji strukturētā intervija ar sociālajiem darbiniekiem. Iegūtie dati atklāj, kāda ir pandēmijas loma uz sociālo darbu, un kādi resursi ir pieejami novadā darbam ar bērniem kuri cietuši no vardarbības koronavīrusa pandēmijas laikā. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj, ka pandēmijai ir liela loma attiecībā uz sociālo darbu ikdienā un resursu pieejamībā.
